Milena Nanova
Milena Nanova is born in Sofia, 1961.
She graduates the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in 1987. The same year, she started her first job as a designer in Sportproject Design Institute. In 1994 she has been employed as a lecturerin the Housing Department of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy. There, she is leading students and diploma projects,and lectures mainly on Housing Policy and Housing Regeneration.
She specialized in the University of Humberside & Lincolnshire, UK. She took part in several International TEMPUS Projects for developing university program in Urban Planning, as well as a British Council Research Project for the prefabricated panel housing regeneration possibilities in Bulgaria.
In 2001, she became a co-founder and partner in STUDIO 17,5, and at the end of 2007, she established STUDIO 17,5-M, together with her partner - architect Plamen Mihaylov.
Her professional development is revealed by the leading role, she played in the design and management of a range of big projects, such as – Mall of Sofia, Mall Plovdiv, Serdika Center, Bulgaria Mall, S-Center Sliven, Belle Valley Housing Estate and others.
Some of the projects have been nominated and prized - "Building of the year" as well as Union of Bulgarian Architects awards and diplomas.
