Stoyan Bratoev is a civil engineer, who specialized in ‘Tunnels and undergrounds" and graduated in 1979.
Between 1979 and 1982, he was employed as technical manager of the first construction sites of Sofia’s metro. In 1982 – 1985, Mr. Bratoev was a postgraduate student at the Institute of Transport in St. Petersburg, where he defended a doctoral thesis on underground construction.
He was senior scientific assistant at the Research and Development Construction Institute.
Since 1992 Bratoev has been Executive Director of Metropolitan.
