Kolio Kolev
Eng. Kolio Kolev graduated in Sofia’s Technical University as Power Engineer with Master Degree in heat power stations, grids and systems. He post-graduated in "Open University" in London on professional Business Administration and in Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Israel, India, Romania and Russia on efficient and renewable energies.
Within the last 25 year period he worked in different structures of the actual Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, consecutively as expert, inspector, Deputy Minister of Energy and Energy Resources and Director of "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources" Directorate.
In 1997 Mr. Kolev is co-founder and Director in the newly established Energy Efficiency Agency – EEA and since June 7th 2010 – it’s Executive Director.
Eng. Kolev closely participated in Project elaboration and implementation under PHARE, SAVE, SAVE II, ALTENER and UNECE EE-2000 Programs, his broad experience in energy auditing, analysis and evaluation and final energy consumption management at municipal, sector, regional and national levels are acquired within the framework of the EEA’ executive activities.
Mr. Kolev’s vast professional experience cover areas such as European integration, National EE and RES Programs, Energy saving in all main Sectors of National Economy - Industry, Transport, Building, Agriculture and Services.
